I think that the twins are stylish and beautiful and if they have a sexual relationship with each other so much the better.
If they are prepared to go before the cameras with each other even better.
To break down prejudice is an important function of such a highly respected studio and I sincerely hope that George Duroy will put the boys together in front of the cameras.
Theuy are becoming more and more confidenmt and more and more screen wise performers, Lukas handled them really well and Bel Ami is advancing in the nature of its content - cum eating etc etc - so twins together is not too radical any more.
I recently bought Sex Buddies 2 and apart from the delights of Alex and Manuel it was wonderful to see Matt Phillipe there.
I know that Bel Ami is about youth but the audience - your loyal audience has grown up a bit and one monemt with the more experienced guys is worth a million.
I am sdure there is a market.

For years, an Italian movie called "Mamma Roma" was banned in the United States. The protagonist, played by Anna Magnani, portrayed a prostitute raising a single young son. At one point in the movie, she watches him as he dissapears down the block when meeting up with some of his young friends. At that moment she leers at him and the other young boys sexually, leaving the viewer with mixed emotions that are rarely confronted conciously let alone spoken about in polite society. I am a relentless fan of all three--Howard, Dolph and Todd. Where is this series available? I can't find it on BelAmi and it does not (yet) appear in any of Howard's books.

Howard's voice-over I think is greatly preferable to some dodgy subtitles. Pity about the music - always a BelAmi weak spot.

I'm impatient to see the three continuations follow on the Journal and the finished work, I certainly agree with Howard about Dolph, and how about George restoring Eiffel's magnificent building to its pristine glory?

I think this part is really great, perhaps a bit overcompensating, with both the sex and the fun boys. I think that Luke seems to be having a lot of fun, and it shows on all of his performances. Sebastian is acting quite grown up, as you might expect from a man his age, but personally i've never been a fan och constricting behavior to age. Sebastian has that glimmer in his eye and that is illustrated quite well in the video.

This is DuPont1's swansong, and the hour fast approaches when no more will be heard from this member who, from all accounts, rattled the nerve endings of some people who may still populate the Forum. Initially, it was great fun, but the fizz has gone and I am tired of seeing the same old faces - and the new ones have little appeal, apart from a delicious guy called Jas Aiken (or Lubek).

Josh, Todd, Oliver, Valentin, Marcel, Danny,
Nico and Oleg kept me interested..but most of them have gone for good. The new crop excites me not a bit, and I have now found different pastures where grazing is sweet. Nothing lasts forever and I have enjoyed most of my time as a member of the elite Bel Ami Club.

anakngpating - I am sure many members are more than bummed to the core - but don't expect a reply to your question. Johan's Journal is a fun place, but it is for those who like to lavish praise, not ask awkward questions. Danny Saradon was a real star, despite being labelled 'awkward' in his early days. He will be sorely missed but there comes a time when models decide enough
is enough. There are many quality sites out
there, and Danny, if he is so inclined, will
find plenty of work if he keeps himself fit and trim.

Personally, I feel the studio has lost much of its appeal, and the real stars have gone,
never to return. I can think of one star in particular who continues to be listed as
'active' - but I know full well he no longer
works for Bel Ami or any other studio. No doubt someone will find time to update model
profiles.

On a different note, I was interested to learn once and for all that Sebastian is happily married with a child (or children).
And he has a boyfriend! I wish Sebbie much happiness in all that he does. Slovakia is an interesting place!

We do appreciate all the hard work you go through to bring us these interesting behind-the-scenes snippets of what goes on with our favorite models. The interaction between Justin, Todd and that adorably cute new model, Keanu, was fun and titillating to watch, especially between the playful Todd and Keanu. (Always keep an eye on those shy and reserved guys for they will always surprise you.) Again, thanks tremendously for giving us this opportunity to be voyeuristic observers to what Bel Ami models get up to during working (?) hours. ;-)

Hi, Johan, I am going to be controversial (again) but please accept this is only my personal opinion. I have been to Budapest many times - charming city, but why oh why must the studio feature Hungarian triplets who will not last the course. They are a novelty item - very handsome - but they are not studio material.

An impossible question for you - but you are all-knowing. Is it likely that the studio will make available on disc the photosessions featuring Austin Monroe, Thomas Laine and Timothy Culkin. I am a bit fed up paying every 30 days to download these sessions - use your influence on GD and see if a disc can be produced before the
photosessions I mentioned disappear for good.

Hi, Johan - First off..did Bel Ami win just one award for 100% sex in Mating..? Next, is Todd (or Igor) going to California for a year? The studio is concentrating far too much on guys who have little or no X factor

If there has been some kind of clean out, too many of the attractive guys have been allowed to go. Bel Ami has very few dishy guys on its books and they can now be
counted on one hand. Josh Elliot, Danny Saradon and Davy Paxton always score high..Dolph Lambert promises much but so did Thomas Laine, Timothy Culkin and Austin Monroe.

Another good show from you Johan and very good to know that my Joshy Washy man babes has had an hand in editing this weeks entry, this week. Would be nice to have many words from Josh in future on his thoughts and opinions if he gets more involved in things behind the canera as well, especially since most of us worship the ground he walks on.

And thanks to Marty for making what looks like a terrific “flip-flop” between Kurt and Steve. Let’s hope no one got pregnant during the filming of this scene. :-) I’m anxiously awaiting the release of this episode. I’m “topsy-turvy” just thinking about it.

I wish my Day by Day at the office was as much fun as Bel Ami’s. If we had the likes of Josh, Todd and Luke around, we just might have. As for Jean-Claude Duvall, he looks promising, but for some reason his hairdo is a bit of a turnoff for me. Thanks for interviewing the production manager and how he manages the complex filming scheduling. I found it interesting, as I did Michal himself. I take it he’s never been before Bel Ami’s camera for a much more “revealing” interview, has he? It’s a shame for he would have been a heartbreaker, as he still is.

Johan, You have come a long way since your debut days with B-A and GD. The transition from star model to behind-the-scenes master has been a joy to follow.

At the risk of being dumped on from a great height, I am not going to say everything the studio produces is great - for it is not. B-A has a habit of pairing yummy guys
with very nondescript newbees, some of whom
should never have made it to the casting couch. Benjamin Bloom could have been teamed with far better guys in the latest video clip available for downloading. He deserves better.

Sensational, though, is the newcomer Dolph Lambert - the scouts have found a gold vein,
the kind of new blood the studio needs. Good
looking, sexually explosive on screen and downright appealing.

I doubt that B-A has lost control of its models - try to hold on to Dolph, if you
can. Dolph more than makes up for the loss of other models who look for greener pastures, only to regret it later.

This is not the place to comment on latest releases but the Forum is a battleground, and little Dupont 1 prefers people who are alive and friendly ! I wish to commend GD on the latest OAL effort..Striptesae.

GD uses snips that he is dissatisfied with -a trait of the perfectionist - but OAL 5 is a real gem and all 10 scenes are excellent.
Josh and Davy are the most perfect, most beautiful sex buddies I have seen and they work well together. Jason and Alan make a good coupling and it was a treat to see Sebbie back in action - that Frenchman, Luc Renaud, is a sexy pussycat, but I get the feeling he will not appear regularly for BA.

Flings 3 will be my next acquisition - but only because I want to ogle Todd and Davy -both scrummy lads ! Todd was a real find for your studio and he never fails to deliver a great performance.

Much as I would like to comment endlessly on the sexual charms displayed by Josh Elliot and Davy Paxton, it is time to offer a word about the models featured in recent casting sessions.

Three potential Bel Ami stars jump out at me - Martin (#2375), Sergejs (#2464) and Vladimir (#2414).

These guys have what it takes to be good models and I hope the studio is able to offer all three contracts. They are good looking, and fairly confident.

The current batch of models is less than appealing to my discerning eye and, sadly, the one known as Josh Elliot, has ruined his facial appeal by allowing himself to get too chubby about the face - and the hair is a nightmare.

GD has lost the best of his boys and his scouts seem incapable of finding real potential stars for the Bel Ami stable. Time, GD, to concentrate on fresh youth.

The studio is going to be taken over very soon bt GAY Teen Studio who have a surplus of excitingly handsome young lads.

Todd Rosset had appeal but he has been sidelined for what the studio feels members wants to see - models who have passed their sell-by-date. Kevin Elola is a fair find but it takes many good models to keep a studio at the forefront of the porn profession. Tim Hamiltons' bad complexion was too distracting - but Danny Saradon's sense of humour and good looks saved most
scenes. And I must not forget Davy Paxton. Where, by the way is Jimmy Larson -another escapee, no doubt.

Sorry, GD, the studio has been on the decline since the days of Cherries, Summer CAMP 1 and Flings 1.

For reasons explained elsewhere, I do not get to view BAO as regularly as I did ten years or so ago. (That long / - I guess so !)
Your valued contribution is - for me - the main reason for logging on. Even if there is no time for browsing the rest, I ALWAYS look for your behind the scenes notes and pics. They make the difference between a sterile site (despite the obvious attractions of the boys), and a live and humanized commentary of "Things Bel Ami" which we all enjoy as part of that "Family" which is sometimes denied. George knew waht he was doing when he first presented bel Ami (albeit thru Falcon), and I guess he knows and values your contribution now is vital to the continued success of BelAmi. Anyone can buy the DVD's, preferably direct from BAO, but your contributions plus your good taste and humour, are second to none. Johan, non communicative man has been the bane of womankind since time immemorial. It’s the fodder of standup comedians to joke how the average Joe simply doesn’t communicate verbally. And you expect this average Joe to try and communicate in written form here? Ah … don’t hold your breath. Women have had to prod their men for eons to get them to communicate their feelings, and it’s still an ongoing exercise in futility.

So please, Johan, don’t allow the natural condition of man to make you think your work isn’t being viewed and appreciated. As shown with all these comments that have come out of the woodwork—with your direct pleading—they clearly reveal your endeavors aren’t being wasted.

Egad, Mel Roberts films hours upon hours of behind-the-scenes material and we don’t get to see it because of a lack of space on DVDs. If your journal were to stop, then where would we go to see our favorite Bel Ami guys, outside of official filming, along with you, Marty and everyone else? What would be the reason to stay a member month-to-month unless to see your weekly journal entries?

He is a delightful young man and I must also re-iterate what I said earlier about the multi-talented, amusing and entertaining Danny Saradon. Sorry, Johan, I have been working on some articles for a rival studio..not as good as Bel Ami, but now that my favourite cuties have spread their wings and left for pastures unknown, I do have to satisfy my sexual appetite one way or another! My interest in the site was beginning to fade a bit (where has Josh gone?) but enthusiasm
now successfully rekindled and I have changed my silly mind about cancelling my membership, due to expire on 02 June this year..I hope to be awarded platinum status, despite being a thorn in a few little backsides I won't mention!

1. evaluate a candidate's age, photogeny and anatomical/mechanical proportions;
2. is the penis pleasant;
3. what about his personality;
4. can he act/play to the camera;
5. quantity & distance of the shot;
6. permanence with condom on;

GD is without doubt a very interesting and talented being but it is difficult to track down information about the Maestro - or Master, as some prefer to call the man responsible for creating such a fine studio.

I am sure most of the more learned members will know that GD found inspiration for the name - George Duroy - in Maupassant's second novel 'Bel Ami' (1885). I recently read the novel and it depicts an unscrupulous journalist, Georges Duroy, whose success was built on hypocrisy, decadence and corruption of society.

Maupassant, if I am not mistaken , named his own sailing yacht 'Bel Ami.'

Like the majority of members of the Bel Ami family, I know little about the private man known for establishing the best porn studio in today's world but I wonder why GD chose to adopt his trade name from a character associated with such ungentlemanly behaviour!

I am certain GD'S own character is not a mirror image of the womanising Maupassant, but whatever maketh the man (GD), I have enjoyed everything produced, directed and master-minded by him - stay with the studio for as long as you can, GD!

EWGTS1 - this may be a bit late but I saw your posting of 19 January and you said you may try to fit in a tour of Bratislava, after visiting Vienna.

I've been to Bratislava several times and it is a terrific place - there is lots to do and my favourite gay haunts include Apollon, Panenska 24; Barnardo's Disco and Bar at Vysoko and Spider at Jedlikova.

My favourite restaurant is Modra Hviezda (The Blue Star) in Bablaveho Street, and it serves good food at reasonable prices - Slovak, Austrian and Hungarian dishes.

If you are going to Bratislava (or Prague, for that matter), and you need hints on good accommodation, let me know and I will be only too happy to help out.

Give me some idea of your tastes - food, wine and category of accommodation.

Of the three newbees invited for the shoot at Marty's luxurious apartment, I have to select, without hesitation, Ondrej (number 2) - the one where we have a close up of his great face, eyes looking upward. I hope all three 'school mates' make the grade at Bel Ami, but Ondrej 2 is quite special.

The 'peeks' of the very 'industrious' Sebastian, Lukas and Adrian - hard at work in their respective offices, make interesting viewing - it's a bit difficult to get used to seeing these lads with their clothes on!

The screen captures from Luke Hamill’s Training Session look pretty good, especially the intro shots. I like the sneak peeks of Bel Ami’s office environment. Andreas looks so darn cute and innocent, one can virtually swim in those big, brown eyes.

My only fear concerning these marvelous photographs is that Howard Roffman won’t be able to publish them all. I have yet to see one photograph that doesn’t deserve to be included in his next book. Let’s hope it’s as large and thick as his last so no picture will be left forlornly on the editor’s desk.

The most appealing aspect of this interview with Luke is the man himself. Without makeup, without costume (or rather with clothing) and the inevitable baseball cap, we see the real Luke. His expression is natural and you can see the wheels turning as he translates Johan's questions into Slovak and then tells us what his task is.
